An example of this is if a person believes strongly in abstinence before marriage, he/ she may choose to remain that way until their wedding night. Yet some men may engage in premarital sex although he may not believe in sex before marriage because of being influenced by his friends saying he needs to have sex to be a real man. When behavior is inconsistent with attitude it is normally because of peer pressure. Adult behaviors normally happen because of held attitudes while children attitudes are shaped from what they observe. We know the saying that a child’s mind is like a sponge, it soaks up everything.
